Valentine’s Day is only days away and every year since the birth of our firstborn daughter, Valentine’s Day has been a beautiful family affair. Dinner, goodies, and the perfect time to teach our children the true meaning of love.

A major tradition is Valentine’s Day Dinner complete with little gift exchanges and lots of pink and reds!

On top of dinner, the days prior to Valentines Day, I usually like to create some fun DIY gifts and crafts with the kids as a more sentimental gift for loved ones.
I am not the craftiest mom out there, I admit.
I scour Pinterest hoping to re-create something amazing in my own unique way, and most times, they never really turn out as fantastic as I’d like them.

I found these really sweet and perfect Ideas that you can create at home and they’re easy to do! There’s something for the whole family – crafts for the toddler to a gift for the spouse.

ValentinesDayIdeasforWholeFamily

1) Romantic Gift Basket
These are perfect for your husband (or wife)! Include their favourite movie, a bottle of their favourite wine or champagne and whatever other goodies you think they would love.

2) Love Quote Wine Wraps
A loving and creative touch for your V-Day Wine Bottles! Would be great for gifting or just for display and admiration purposes. They also are a lovely keepsake!

3) Valentines Day Heart Garland
Easy to create and a great craft for kids – hang the finished product on the fireplace mantle or anywhere you’d like in the home.

4) Heart-Shaped Tortilla Pizza
These are perfect for Valentines Day munching and extremely easy to make only requiring a few simple ingredients: Dempster’s Tortillas, pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Don’t forget the heart-shaped cookie cutter!

5) Toilet Paper Heart Stamps
Seriously toilet paper can do SO much when it comes to crafting with little ones. This is a cute and easy activity you can do with your kids (especially great for toddlers!).

6) Preschooler “I Wheelie Like You” Goody bag
I cannot get over the cuteness of this quick DIY goody bag! Perfect for preschoolers and their little friends. Adorable!

7) Keepsake Baby and Toddler Hand Print
This is definitely a frame-worthy keepsake that you will cherish for a lifetime. *Excuse me… just something in my eye.*

I love your craft ideas for the kids to do. I think it’s great when kids make their own valentines…they end up being the best mementos.

I’m not the craftiest Mom either, that’s why Pinterest is so helpful. I like the heart pizza idea. I think we’re going to make heart pancakes tomorrow morning.
